Single Open-Ended Snap-On Ring Assembly with Collar and External Overflow Reservoir

Puncturing a vent hole through a central thermoplastic seal maintains even pressure within the sample cup and sample chamber. The thin-film window remains taut to form a flat sample plane. The Snap-On Ring firmly secures the thin-film window for a leak-resistant seal. Pre-attach the thin-film with the collar to temporarily hold it in position for affixing the Snap-On Ring. Optionally use collar and Snap-On Ring to “sandwich” limited quantities of powdered or liquid droplets in between to pieces of thin-film. Collect thermally sensitive liquids in the external overflow reservoir.

32 mm diameter XRF Sample Cups are also available with Snap-On Rings integrated with serrated cutting edges for trimming thin-film windows. Dispenses with annoying statically charged thin-film clippings.

Use a self-centering Vent Hole Punch for conveniently creating a vent hole. The Palm Held Fastener or the Snap-On Ring Fastener facilitates assembly.
