Microporous Pressure Equalization Film
Microporous Film is a gas permeable polypropylene membrane used to maintain pressure equalization within the Style 1500 Sample Cups and the sample chamber. Microporous Film is attached to the flanged end of the sample cup. Pressure equalization is established through the tortuous irregular shaped pore channels hat prohibit crystalline particles to pass but allow permeability. Any entrapped gas or air within the sealed sample cup is evacuated leaving the thin-film window, the sample plane, on the opposite end flat and free of convolutions or distension attributed to pressure differentials.
